Nylon jersey is a single-sided jersey fabric with nylon fiber as the main body and spandex fiber as the elastic component. It combines the smooth, wear-resistant, moisture-absorbing and wear-resistant properties of nylon with the high elasticity and rebound advantages of spandex. The surface of the fabric is smooth and delicate, and it feels soft. It is a classic basic fabric in the fields of sportswear, underwear, and fashion base clothing.

1. Principles: The core logic of elasticity and comfort

  1. Elastic support principle: Spandex fiber is embedded into nylon yarn in the form of core-spun yarn. The elongation at break of spandex can reach 500%~700%, providing high transverse and longitudinal ductility for the fabric; the high-strength properties of nylon fiber act as an "elastic constraint" to limit the over-stretching of spandex, prevent the fabric from loosening and deforming after long-term wear, and achieve the dual effect of "high elastic fit + durable styling".

  2. The comfortable and skin-friendly fabric adopts a plain jersey structure, with even and dense coil arrangement, smooth surface without bulges, and low friction when contacting the skin; nylon fiber has better hygroscopicity than polyester, and can quickly absorb sweat from the body surface and conduct it to the outer layer of the fabric.   2. The jersey weaving process uses a computer-programmed single-jersey knitting machine to weave plain jersey tissue and control the knitting needle tension evenly to ensure that there are no missing needles, no knots on the surface of the fabric, and a consistent thickness. During the weaving process, the tensile tension of the spandex needs to be accurately adjusted to prevent uneven elastic distribution leading to uneven local tightness of the fabric.

  3. The post-finishing process goes through pre-shrinking, scouring, dyeing, shaping, softening and other processes in sequence. The pre-shrinking process controls the fabric shrinkage within 3%, solving the pain point of easy shrinkage of knitted fabrics; the shaping process fixes the size and elasticity of the fabric to prevent deformation after washing; the soft finishing improves the slight stiffness of the nylon fabric and improves the close-fitting wearing experience.

  • In the field of intimate underwear: used to make seamless underwear, thermal underwear, and underwear. The smooth and delicate feel improves skin-friendliness, the elasticity fits the body shape without being tight, and the wear-resistant and washable characteristics extend the service life of underwear.

4. Maintenance: maintenance skills to extend the life of fabrics

  1. For washing requirements, it is recommended to wash by hand or machine in cold water (water temperature ≤ 30°C). When washing in a machine, put it in a laundry bag to avoid mixing it with rough clothes such as jeans to prevent snagging and pilling. Use neutral detergent and prohibit chlorine-containing bleach to prevent yellowing of nylon fibers and attenuation of elasticity of spandex.

  2. Drying and ironing: Dry in the shade or dry on the opposite side at low temperature to avoid sunlight exposure. Nylon is prone to fading and aging when exposed to the sun for a long time, and high temperatures will accelerate the elastic failure of spandex. Do not wring it out hard to prevent damage to the fabric coil structure and deformation. The ironing temperature should be controlled at 120℃~140℃. Use a layer of wet cloth when ironing to avoid direct contact with the fabric at high temperatures.

  3. When storing, please fold and store it flat to avoid stretching and deformation of the fabric caused by hanging for a long time; keep the storage environment dry and ventilated, and keep away from sharp objects to prevent snags from damaging the structure of the jersey fabric.

  1.
