Double-sided turtle velvet: double-sided functional velvet fabric with unique texture

Double-sided turtle velvet is a new type of high-end velvet textile fabric. It is named after the concave and convex turtle-like texture on both the front and back sides. With its structural advantages and unique texture that can be used on both sides, it has become a popular material in the autumn and winter textile field. The core uses chemical fiber as raw material, taking into account both practicality and design.

The core raw material of double-sided turtle down is 100% polyester fiber (polyester). Some high-end models will add 3%-5% spandex to improve the elasticity and resilience of the fabric. A few environmentally friendly models are made of recycled polyester, which is in line with the concept of sustainable development. Its most notable feature is the turtle back texture that is simultaneously formed on both sides. The texture is in a regular concave and convex rhombus shape, simulating the natural texture of turtle back. It is different from single-sided texture fabrics. The texture depth and density of the front and back sides are consistent, and there is no difference in touch and visual effects. This is also the core difference from ordinary turtle back velvet.

In terms of production technology, the production of double-sided tortoise velvet requires both texture shaping and double-sided texture. The core process is divided into three steps: first, high-elastic polyester fiber is made through fine-denier spinning process, and then spun to form a yarn suitable for weaving; then it is woven using a double-sided jacquard loom, and the warp and weft threads are interlaced through a preset texture program, and directly on the surface. The tortoise texture is woven on both sides of the material, eliminating the need for secondary imprinting at a later stage. Finally, sanding, hot pressing and dyeing are performed. The sanding process allows the surface of the fabric to form fine short velvet to improve softness. The hot pressing locks the shape of the tortoise texture to prevent deformation. The dyeing uses a high temperature and high pressure process to ensure uniform color and a color fastness to dry rubbing. Level 4-5, wet rubbing color fastness level 3-4.

In terms of performance, double-sided turtle velvet has both structural and material advantages: excellent warmth retention, the air layer formed by the double-sided texture can lock more still air, and the heat insulation effect is better than ordinary single-sided velvet; it has good air permeability, and the concave and convex texture increases the breathable channels of the fabric. It is not stuffy when worn; it is highly durable, has the characteristics of anti-pilling, anti-static, and not easy to shed, and the texture and texture can still be maintained after repeated washing; the flexible design and double-sided features eliminate the need for additional linings for clothing and home products, simplifying the production process.

In terms of application fields, double-sided turtle velvet is suitable for a wide range of scenarios. In the clothing field, it can be used to make autumn and winter jackets, sweatshirts, home clothes, children's clothing, etc. In the home field, it is suitable for sofa covers, blankets, cushions, curtains, etc., and can also be used in soft furnishing products such as car interiors and pillows. Pay attention to maintenance. It is recommended to wash by hand gently with neutral detergent. The water temperature should be controlled below 30℃. Avoid vigorous rubbing of the textured parts. When drying, lay it flat in the shade. Avoid exposure to the sun and high temperature drying to prevent texture deformation and fabric fading.
