Large Toca fabric is a high-end subcategory of Tuscan fabrics. It is named after the large, curly, fluffy and plump fluff. The core continues the texture essence of Tuscan fabrics, and at the same time forms differences in the shape and fluffiness of Tuscan fabrics. It is mainly divided into two types: natural fur integrated and chemical fiber imitations. It is a high-quality material for high-end clothing and home furnishings in autumn and winter.
Natural large toka fabric is an authentic fur-integrated material, not an ordinary textile fabric. Its raw materials are selected from high-quality Merino sheep and Tuscan sheepskins from Tuscany, Italy and surrounding areas. The underlying villi of this type of sheepskin are naturally thicker and longer, with a length of up to 5-8mm. They are distributed in a natural large roll shape. The villi are fine and elastic, and the skin is light, thin and flexible, with a thickness of only 0.8-1mm. The traditional vegetable tanning process is used during processing. After more than ten processes such as cleaning, degreasing, tanning, and carding, the natural curly shape of the hair is avoided throughout the process. The finished product retains the original texture of the fur, has good skin-friendly properties, excellent thermal insulation performance, and can withstand low temperatures of minus 20°C. It is a high-end style among natural Tuscan fabrics.
The imitation large toka fabric circulating on the market is a chemical fiber textile fabric that meets the needs of the public, and is also a more widely used category. Its core component is 100% polyester fiber (polyester). Some high-end models will add 3%-5% spandex to improve elasticity, and a few will mix a small amount of wool to increase warmth. There is no type with pure cotton or polyester-cotton as the main material. This type of fabric uses special sanding and high-temperature curling and shaping processes to process polyester fibers into large rolls of fluffy fluff, simulating the visual and tactile effects of natural large tokas. The fluff is short, dense and has higher curling. It also has the advantages of anti-pilling, anti-static, not easy to deform, and easy to care for. The price is much lower than that of natural fabrics, which makes up for the shortcomings of complex maintenance and high cost of natural fur integrated fabrics.
The application scenarios of large toka fabrics vary according to different categories: natural types are mostly used in high-end autumn and winter coats, fur coats, scarves and other clothing; imitations are more widely used. In addition to making coats, sweatshirts, and children's clothing, they can also be used in household items such as sofa covers, cushions, and blankets, as well as car interior decorations, plush toys, etc.
In terms of maintenance, natural large toka fabrics need to be professionally dry-cleaned, avoid washing, exposure to the sun, and contact with sharp objects, and be stored in a dry and ventilated place; imitation large toka fabrics can be gently hand washed, use neutral detergent, the water temperature should be controlled below 30°C, and can be laid flat to dry in the shade. The maintenance difficulty is much lower than that of natural models.
